Events

From a walk on the beach to a Victorian Christmas, a week of fine dining,  dropping an electrified shrimp from scaffolding on New Year's Eve (yes, really), or even an impromptu virtual book festival, there's always something going on here on Amelia Island. Here are some of our events -- past, present, and future.

Our family album features lots of images from the Amelia Island Book Festival -- we're big fans. It's where the three authors who conceived of Amelia Indie Authors first connected, where we got encouragement from David Morrell and Sonny Brewer, and how Nancy got to interview Diana Gabaldon.

Several of our members have volunteered for the festival, as well. Their roles include serving on the Board of Directors, appearing as Authors in Schools, and judging students' short stories for the scholarship competition.
