Winfield H. Strock III

When it comes to Amelia Indie Authors, Win Strock was an early adopter. His consistent and enthusiastic participation has been a gift to the entire group. And, to quote one of our visiting trainers, "he's funny as HELL!"  Here's a link to a 2019 interview -- before we knew all those things.

Cold War submariner and history buff Winfield Strock’s creative imagination kept him entertained beneath the waves. With his naval career behind him, he found himself struggling to settle into his new identity.

The uncertainty of civilian life was soon amplified by the discovery of a massive brain tumor. Strock says the tumor taught him "the importance of love, faith, and hope." He speaks openly and eloquently about that in a TED talk.

Driven even more fervently after successful surgery and, with his bride of twenty-five years at his side, Win plunged headlong into his second love: writing. The multi-genre, multi-media storyteller hopes to light the same imaginative spark in others as the authors of his inspiration did for him.
